How to Get out of Your Nut shell in 4 Easy Steps

How to Get out of Your Nut shell in 4 Easy Steps

Coming out to the world on your own is probably one of the most nerves wracking scenarios you need to experience. Overcoming shyness does not happen overnight, but like they say, practice makes perfect once you overcome your timidity. Read on and start the process of getting out of your nutshell now.

  • Look your best. Shop for the dress you have been eyeing for so many weeks, treat yourself to a salon or take time to fix your hair every morning so you look and feel great once you step out of your house. Looking your best will help boost your self-esteem. If you look good, you will feel good.

  • Rejection is normal. All people experience rejection. Even John F. Kennedy failed the bar exam twice before he passed. Failing is a part of life. So what if the organization you planned to join did not accept you? Even if they did, there will still be other organizations willing to accept you. Being turned down does not mean that you have to down yourself by making yourself aloof from other people. You cannot please everyone; stick that in your mind. However, be likeable at least.

  • Engage yourself in things you excel. If you are good in singing, you can join your church choir. If you have an extraordinary skill in painting, you can share your talent in the art club at your school or volunteer to teach art to underprivileged children. Sharing your talent with others will certainly make you feel good. When you feel good in the inside, it will wash away your low self-esteem, brushing off the introvert in you.

  • Learn from others.  If you find it hard to follow the other tips, try this one. When in a gathering or a party, watch how those extroverts start a conversation and how they act. However, this does not mean that you have to be their clone. Just learn a thing or two from them and you’re off. Just a little reminder, just because a certain thing or action looks good on them  doesn’t necessarily mean that it fits you too, find and experiment which best suits you or else you will end up looking like a trying hard.
  • Give it a go and enjoy the results.
  • Remember Live Your Life By Choice, Not By Chance.

Self Motivation

Self Motivation

There are three categories of people. The non-achievers, the achievers and there are the self-motivated people. Sometimes even the achievers may fail to do something but a self motivated individual draws inspiration from failures to make success stories. A self motivated person will always have his confidence levels shooting through the roof and the world is his oyster.

• Here are a few guidelines to keep your motivation high:

• Have a thorough understanding of yourself, your strengths and weaknesses, your dreams, aspirations etc. Self awareness is the first step towards self motivation. If you are aware of your limitations your goals are realistic and motivating.

• Choose tasks which are fun because boredom is the greatest enemy of motivation.

• Remember to reward yourself for each little achievement of yours.

• Stay in the company of positive and motivated people, because attitude is contagious.

• You must learn to take everything in your stride and laugh at yourself in all situations.

• Tension, anger frustration and stress deter self motivation.

• I hate working but the thought of the dollars which come with it, keeps me motivated. Sometimes you may have to do something which is not very enjoyable. If the result of the job is fruitful enough, use it to keep yourself motivated.

• Do not reach out for the moon at one go. You will only land up falling flat on your face. Break down the larger goals into smaller and realistic steps. Each small success will lead you to larger ones and you will finally reach the moon.

• Follow a healthy diet and get enough sleep. Healthy body always houses a healthy mind and only the one with a healthy mind is self motivated.

Be an optimist because optimism is the greatest self-motivator.

Reaching the Top

Reaching the Top

Many of you have probably heard of people inching their way slowly to the top, gradually overcoming obstacles on their way and struggling with as much effort as they can to reach one of the highest peaks in the world, Mount Everest. Or maybe you have heard of people who overcame all hardships and adversities in their lives who made a difference in the world. People such as Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, the Wright Brothers, Walt Disney, Neil Armstrong and Amelia Earhart have all contributed to the idea of success we all possess and aim for today.

But what is their secret to their success? What made them different from the rest of us? You can say that self image improvement will definately help.Self image is so important.

In a nutshell, it’s really hard to say what makes them tick. As far as we all know, they were all hardworking, dedicated and industrious individuals who came up with extraordinary visions and fulfilled their missions in life.

So here are a few pointers that could help you do what these people did. You may not be the next Neil Armstrong or Thomas Edison, but this could be the start of something big for you.

Dream big, and always have a vision in life. When you dream big, you think of the biggest thing that you can ever accomplish in your life. Think of climbing Mount Everest. Think of inventing the first car which runs on water. You can even think of formulating a medicine which will give people their memories from the day they were born. But of course, remember to be realistic. Don’t think of something that is impossible to happen.Your self image can also help.

Make that vision come true. Start working now! Gather your materials, develop your skills, and do some research. Find friends who can help you with your project. Give some ample time in a day to really map out your vision and make your dream come true. If you want to climb a mountain, get some training, get the right equipment, and join a mountaineering group. If you want to fly an aircraft, go to your nearest aviation school and sign up for classes.

Above all, stay positive!Improve your self image. If your efforts fail, what do you need to do? Start over! That’s what Edison did. He made more than a hundred light bulbs before he created one that really worked. So never give up. And try and try again!

Help is always available to improve your self image, and reaching the top is just a matter of time.

Self image improvement is the key.

Motivation: What Drives You?

Motivation: What Drives You?

Have you ever tried randomly asking successful people in their own field on things that motivate them? If you do, you might be overwhelmed because two entirely different people may give you the same answer – goals!

Motivation, as studied in psychology and neuropsychology, is a particular reason, perhaps a set of reasons that drives people in a particular behavior, specifically human behavior. These reasons include goals, ideals, state of being, and even basic needs such as shelter, food, and water.

Being highly motivated is one of the greatest attributes to be an effective leader. In fact, the majority of the numbers of successful leaders I know are extremely driven by great passion. It is something that vitalizes your ability to do something, something even beyond the things you are not used to doing. It can be someone or something that has been with you all throughout your existence, or it can even be entirely something you didn’t even knew exist.

It is more than just passion running through one’s blood and circulating all over his body, it is also a philosophy that runs one of the biggest deals in the society. Despite the modern-day complexities, you still can’t deny the satisfaction and self worth you realize after having been given a commendation and highly regarded for the great efforts you have put into your work. This particular feeling of self worth animates and revitalizes each time you are praised and in time will be instilled in your mind, since motivation is a behavioral aspect that is learned.

Technically speaking, motivation is a state of mind that invigorates and somehow endows guidance and direction. It is a combination or solely a feeling of aggression, instincts, fear, and learning. Motivation is even tagged by other psychologists to be the greatest emotional battery that fuels up your every move. Plus, it is even rechargeable!

People who are enriched with motivation are most likely the one who live out to be people who are more attentive, people who can work independently, those who are willing to ask for help if needed, willing to give out help, and those who embrace challenges to better themselves. On the other hand, people who lack motivation are generally those who are always dissatisfied, who lacks competence, those who underestimates their own capabilities, those who feel negatively about their jobs, and typically those who let personal issues conflict with their goals.

Motivation is the utmost value that a good leader can ever possess. For others, this may only serve as their last resort, but for effective leaders, it is their first. Leadership is about accepting the fortunate fact that motivation comes out naturally. It is part of who you are. It is part of what you have become.

However, for those who still haven’t mastered the art of motivation, don’t fret. If you think that you have to be a leader prior to achieving the drive that motivation has, you are absolutely wrong! No matter how incompressible some circumstances can be, all you have to do is try a little bit harder and look forward for something positive out of this endeavor.

Because once the impression is made, it is mostly irreversible. If you have made a good one, it is good; but if you have not, the damage is done. You may interest some and disappoint others. Most of us wish to make the best impression in others whether the meeting is personal or professional.

How do people assess you the first time they see you?
You are always appraised in initial business and social environments. • Maintain a good posture

• Make good eye contact with people you meet and hold it for a few seconds to create a warm connection

• Let your handshake be firm

• Maintain a distance of one-arm’s length between you and the other person while talking

• Do not wear heavy scented colognes or Deos

• Keep your breath fresh.

Verbal communication

• Be confident when you converse or while giving out your personal, business details

Perceiving others

Study the other person and try to learn his personality as soon as you could. You could exchange simple information that helps you to understand the energy levels and compatibility between the two of you.

Gain Control over Your Life

Learn to Gain Control over Your Life

Human life is a precious blessing and each day should be lived king size. I am asked quite often about the secret of my boundless joy and peace. All I say is that, I am high on life. I drink life to the lees because my life is completely in my control. We can definitely exercise control over the quality of our life by making the right choices.

To gain control over your life, you need to begin with the development of a complete understanding of yourself. Each of us is unique in our own right with very diverse thought processes, and a mind of our own. Never try to ape someone else because you are the best in simply being yourself. All you need is to understand yourself in all perspectives. Feel happy about all your positive traits and face your negativities with equal honesty. It is all about being at ease inside your own skin.

Once you are in control of yourself, you are prepared to handle all the surprises which life springs on us, every now and then. Try and gain as much knowledge and understanding of the world around. This will help you make intelligent decisions whenever you find yourself at crossroads.

Enjoy each moment of your day.

Help everyone in need, because it will make you feel good about yourself. Nurturing relationships will help you enjoy life better.

Whenever your mind is strangled by a shower of negative thoughts, try to divert your attention towards something pleasant.

Eat healthy and exercise well because you control your life only if you are in a strong frame of health.

Remember to be positive always, and you will never be down in the dumps again even after a break-up. Sometimes its easy to read this stuff, however it does work if you apply it.

Big Thoughts and Big Actions Make Dreams Come True!

Big Thoughts and Big Actions Make Dreams Come True!

Yes, these two can indeed make your thoughts materialize – even big, seemingly impossible dreams. The process is very straightforward, applying the law of manifestation.

It all begins in your mind, with a single thought. If you think small, you get small results. But if you think big, what do you think your results will be? If you think, a small bungalow will be fine as my house, then most likely that is what you will get. On the other hand, if you think you would like a two-storey house with a pool and garden, then again, that is what you will most likely get.

Feeling, or passion, follows. This is where the question “How badly do I want this?” comes in. Also, “What am I willing to do in order to get this?” The answer to this determines your level of commitment. Your passion and commitment also dictate your results.

Based on your thought and passion, you set a specific goal with a specific deadline. It is best to write it down as the subconscious mind absorbs it better when you write it down.

Then take big actions that are only worthy of your big thoughts! If you are looking for your dream house, find out how much it costs and how you are going to get it. Think about and visualize your dream house everyday. This activates the law of attraction, where you attract people and events related with what you think about most. Stay alert for “coincidences” from the universe – for example, suddenly meeting an architect or anyone who can help you get that dream house.

Change your actions if needed until you reach your goal. If for example your sources of income are not enough to finance your dream house, then you may have to change them or add to them.
In time, you will reach your goal.

Just keep this formula in mind – big thoughts and big feelings lead to big goals, which in turn lead to big actions, finally leading to big results!

Reach Your Goal by Affirming and Visualizing!

Reach Your Goal by Affirming and Visualizing!

Your thoughts determine whether you reach your goal or not. If you are constantly in a negative state of mind or succumb to fears and doubts, then your goal will remain far from your reach. But if you feed your mind with positive thoughts and imagine yourself having reached that goal already, then you are almost certain to reach it!

Before you can even set a goal, first acknowledge that we all live in a universe overflowing in abundance. Lack and poverty are mainly brought about by thoughts of lack and poverty. But in reality the universe has more than enough for everyone, if only we ask and believe. So before you think about you want, affirm the universe’s abundance, that it already has what you want even before you ask for it. Surely, then, you will have it once you ask! For your subconscious mind to totally accept this as fact, recite an affirmation everyday, like “The universe can give me anything I ask for,” or something along these lines.

After having the proper state of mind, you can then start asking. Write down your goal. Make it very specific. See the outcome very clearly in your mind. Experience the outcome of your goal in your mind. If it is your dream job, imagine walking through the office, talking to people, sitting at your desk and doing the work you love. Use not only your sense of sight, but whatever is applicable in your imagined scene. Do your visualization everyday, ideally upon waking up and before going to sleep.

Partner your visualization with an affirmation – affirm that you have what you want right now. You can say “I am happily working in my dream job,” or something like that. Soon, you will attract events or circumstances that will lead to your dream job – or you might get an inspired idea on how to get your dream job.

Do your affirmations and visualizations everyday and you will surely reach your goal.

Remember, Live your Life By Choice, Not By Chance.

Turn Your Thoughts into Reality!

Turn Your Thoughts into Reality!

Is there anything you desire that you feel you cannot have? Is what you want always far from your reach? Anything you want is yours for the taking if you can just tap into the power of your mind. With imagination and belief, you can turn your thoughts into reality. Below are some tips to help you turn your thoughts into reality.

Desire it. Passion is a strong bridge between you and what you want. Ask yourself – how much do you really want this thing you are thinking of? Is it something you can do without, or something you are really passionate about? Passion is power.

Be specific. Be very clear about what you want. What you get is only as clear as what you want. If you want a house, see it very clearly on your mind – the architectural design of the interior and exterior, the garden, and more. Set a deadline. When do you want to have that house?

Visualize. This is arguably the most powerful tool of the mind. Be the director and leading actor in your own movie. Walk through your dream house, see the sights, smell the scents, feel the feeling of being there. The subconscious brain does not differentiate between a real experience and an imagined experience. So, once you vividly imagine a scene, you are close to letting it manifest into reality. Visualize daily.

Believe. Fear and doubt stand in the way between you and your dream. Should you feel any doubts, believe that the universe will give it to you. The universe is overflowing in blessings and abundance if only you ask and believe! What you believe, the universe gives. If you believe that you will get it, the universe will give it to you. If you believe you won’t, then the universe won’t give it to you.

Take inspired action. From your daily visualizations, you may suddenly get a spark of an idea of how to get the house. Or you might meet a person who knows where you can buy your dream house. At these moments, don’t hesitate. Act!

Follow these steps and you will prove that you can indeed turn your thoughts into reality!
